The most frequent vascular diseases are related to leg veins (varicose veins, spider veins, venous thrombosis), frequently causing significant aesthetic problems.

However, Angiology and Vascular Surgery is also concerned with the treatment of many other, although less frequent, potentially serious problems: ulcers in any location with poor evolution, occlusion of the arteries, arterial dilatation and aneurysms, lymphedema, access for hemodialysis and chemotherapy, ...
